Nine suppliers are set to be appointed by Liverpool City Council to a professional services framework valued at around £120m.
While the contract is still in standstill until 10 November, AtkinsRéalis, Jacobs UK, Mott MacDonald, WSP UK, Aecom, Amey, Edgeps, Keywest Partnership and Turner & Townsend Infrastructure have all been named as winners.
The appointments will be spread across the following four lots:
- Lot 1 - Sustainable transport planning and policy advice - AtkinsRéalis, Jacobs UK, Mott MacDonald and WSP UK
- Lot 2 - Highways and infrastructure design support services – AECOM, Amey, AtkinsRéalis UK and Mott MacDonald
- Lot 3 - P&P Management and NEC contract administration support services – AtkinsRéalis, Edgeps, Mott MacDonald and WSP UK
- Lot 4 - Commercial and contract management support services – AtkinsRéalis, Keywest Partnership and Turner & Townsend Infrastructure
Each lot is expected to run for four years from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2030.
There were several unsuccessful tenders for each lot.
AECOM, Arup, Pell Frischmann Consultants, Steer Davies & Gleave and Systra all looked for a place on Lot 1, with only AECOM finding a place on the framework in another lot.
WSP UK also made a bid for Lot 2 but, along with Arcadis Consulting (UK), Civic Engineers, Ridge and Partner and Tetra Tech Limited, it failed to secure a spot.
Arcadis Consulting (UK), Ridge and Partners, Gleeds and Mace Consult applied to Lot 3 but were unsuccessful.
Finally, Mott MacDonald, WSP UK and Edgeps all missed out on spots on Lot 4, but all were appointed across the other three lots.
