A minister, a security expert and heavyweights of the transport sector are all set to share the stage at this year's Local Government Technical Advisers Group (TAG) Presidents' Conference.

Jesse Norman MP, parliamentary under secretary of state for transport, is in line to give the keynote address for the conference, which takes place at the Hallam Conference Centre, London on 22 May.
TAG members are all welcome to attend the AGM, which will be held on the afternoon of 21 May 2018 in London.
Entitled 'Leading change and building resilience at the heart of local communities', the conference will celebrate 'local government at the heart of placemaking'.
It brings together leading practitioners across sectors 'who are leading the way for how we survive and thrive amidst significant technological change'.

- South West Highways Alliance - 'Highways Infrastructure Resilience Assessment (HIRAM) - re-thinking preparedness and response
A TAG spokesperson said: 'Increased obesity, declining air quality, and growing congestion is the £80bn toxic cocktail affecting UK productivity. Meanwhile Uber, dockless bikes, on demand cars and demand responsive bus networks create new and dynamic ways to travel. Demographic shift means fewer young people in major cities choosing a car; conversely rural bus decline demands fresh ways to meet basic travel needs.
