Active Travel England (ATE) has announced a review of key active travel technical guidance following the publication of the third Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy (CWIS3).
The Department for Transport's Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIP) Technical Guidance for Local Authorities was published in 2017. Since then, CWIS3 has been published, along with ATE's delivery plan, Worth Every Step.
Following the launch of these two latest documents, ATE is calling for feedback on the nine-year-old technical guidance to ‘understand what works well, what could be improved, and what has changed over the last few years'.
The national cycling and walking agency has asked those working in active travel, transport planning, highways, local government, consultancy or any related fields to share their views via a short 15 to 20-minute survey.
