Small businesses, non-profits and NHS community facilities are being invited to apply for Kent County Council's 2025 Active Travel Business Grants.

Aimed at supporting organisations that encourage more sustainable travel for both staff and customers, grants of up to £5,000 will be available to support:

  • Cycle parking and accessible storage
  • Lockers and showers for active commuters
  • Pool bikes and e-bike charging points
  • Innovative infrastructure to support walking, wheeling and cycling.

Spencer Dixon, deputy cabinet member for highways and transport, said: ‘We want to help businesses across Kent make active travel a realistic and convenient option for their staff and customers.

‘This grant scheme is about supporting practical improvements that make it easier for people to choose walking, cycling or wheeling - whether for commuting, appointments or shopping.'

Those wishing to apply for grants must do so by 24 October 2025. Full details on the grants and how to apply can be found here.
