Eurovia Contracting has started work on a two-year contract for Kent County Council.The contract, which has an estimated value of £8 million, started on 1 July 2014 and has the potential to be extended for up to a further two years.With multiple sites and five phases, works are predominately for resurfacing and road markings but also include minor drainage works, specialist trades on specific sites such as joint sealing and stress absorbing solutions, the installation of traffic loops and high friction surfacing.The first phase includes a major reconstruction scheme to be carried out during the summer holiday period.Neil Huntington, Eurovia regional director, said: “We have a long history of working in Kent and most recently, have worked in the north of Kent on the highways contract. We are delighted to have secured this new contract and are looking forward to working with Kent County Council across the whole county.”
