A month-long closure of the B4115 Ashow Road in Stoneleigh has been rescheduled to start this month after a last-minute delay prevented its closure in August.
Now expected to take place from 8 September until 5 October, the closure of Ashow Road is in place to allow for the realignment of the B4115 to connect it to a new 56m long, 10m wide bridge that will carry the road over the new High Speed Two (HS2) line currently under construction.
The delay was caused by the third submission of updated plans for the bridge from HS2, which were approved by Warwick District Council last month.
In a notice regarding the closure, HS2 said: ‘You may notice increased levels of construction activity and some travel disruption.'
It added that ‘there will be a fully signed diversion in place to help drivers navigate their way' around the closure.
