Tarmac subsidiary J B Riney has won a £110m highways contract from the London borough of Harrow.

The contract was won on a 50/50 quality price criteria and covers civil engineering works, street lighting and electrical works, and surfacing works on carriageways, footways.

Beginning on April this year, the contract runs for 10 years.

Harrow is the latest London borough to procure its highways contracts individually and not through the London Highways Alliance Contract (LoHAC), despite signing up to the framework in 2014-2015.

LoHAC is set to be relaced in 2021.
