Truvelo UK has appointed Calvin Hutt as its new managing director as the company begins a ‘major structural expansion'.
Mr Hutt has been with the traffic enforcement and data collection technology provider for over 14 years, most recently as sales and marketing director for the past nine years.
Prior to joining Truvelo, he spent three years as a systems optimiser and business development executive at StarTraq Limited (part of Polaris Software), a digital traffic enforcement provider.
His promotion to MD brings a new direction for the company as Truvelo expands ‘away from the traditional hardware-only model' under his direction.
The company plans to pivot towards a ‘standardised, end-to-end framework' designed to ‘solve the "missing link" of operational deployment' for global sensor manufacturers to keep up with shifting demands in the UK public safety sector.
To support this new model, the company has established a clear hierarchical chain of command, with Mr Hutt overseeing the company's ‘grand strategic trajectory' and directors David de Beer and Luke Korcz taking ‘direct responsibility' for day-to-day work, staff management, and divisional outputs.
