The Foundation for Integrated Transport (FIT) has launched a major study into the future of transport journalism, along with a survey to gather views from within the industry itself.
Funded by a FIT fellowship, the research project is described as a ‘conceptual and mapping exercise' that seeks to increase understanding of what technological and behavioural changes could mean for independent, high-quality journalism and what the future of that may look like.
The questionnaire attached to the research will gather feedback from both those in and out of the transport sector on how they currently consume information and journalism on the subject, as well as how they would like to receive the information in the future.
Those wishing to complete the survey can do so here.
The anonymised survey will contribute to the overall project, which is being led by former Highways deputy editor, Chris Ames.
