Andrew Tatt has announced that he will be taking on the role of interim head of highway maintenance at Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.
Having spent the last eight months as head of highways maintenance and management for Cambridgeshire County Council, Mr Tatt is an experienced senior professional with 20 years under his belt in the sector.
He started as a highways supervisor for Cambridgeshire in 1999, then spent 17 years working for Peterborough City Council, first as a transport and engineering group manager, then as head of Peterborough highways services.
Mr Tatt has also worked for four years as a freelance highways and transport consultant.
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Mr Tatt said: ‘It's a privilege to be joining a Council and a team committed to delivering safe, sustainable, and high-quality infrastructure for the communities we serve. I'm looking forward to working across the Council to help transition to a new head of highways and build on the great work already underway.
