Jacobs' client account lead for National Highways, Ian Coddington, has stepped down after 19 years with the company.

Mr Coddington first joined the company in 2007 and spent the first eight years of his career there as a senior principal/technical director.

He then worked his way through several positions, including project/task manager, operational sales lead, head of operational sales for highways and office director, before he took on his most recent role.

Sharing his decision to leave the company on LinkedIn, Mr Coddington said: ‘I feel incredibly grateful and privileged to have experienced such a variety of opportunities, working with so many talented people and contributing to projects that have shaped both my professional and personal growth.

‘Along the way, I've learned far more than engineering. Topics such as social value, mental health and sustainability, which meant little to me when I first joined, have become part of my everyday thinking and values.'

He added: ‘Leaving comes with a tinge of sadness, but mostly gratitude for the opportunities, friendships and experiences that Jacobs has given me. A new chapter begins in November. Before then, I'm looking forward to spending some time with my family and taking a little well-earned rest.

‘Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey.'
