Living Streets is looking for three new trustees to join its board, as the charity develops a new strategy to be launched in the run-up to its centenary in 2029.
The new trustees would join a staff of more than 90 people, who deliver campaigns to make streets more accessible as well as roll out programmes to deliver change to communities across the UK.
Advertising the positions, the charity said: 'Our Trustees play a key role in shaping our strategy and helping bring it to life. We welcome applications from across the UK, particularly from people who can bring one or more of the following perspectives or areas of experience: Experience of culture change in the charity, government or private sector; experience of social research in the charity, government or private sector; based in Scotland; based in Wales.'
Earlier this year, Living Streets appointed one of the nation's leading voices for sustainable transport, John Dales, as its new chair.
Other key figures already helping lead the organisation include Dr Amit Patel, Adam Tranter, Dr Jo Maher, Sarah Berry, Folkert Veenstra, Paul de Cordova, Christopher Martin and Sarah Price.
The Trustee roles are voluntary and unpaid, 'although appropriate expenses will be paid,' the charity said.
Living Streets is the UK charity for everyday walking. It has thousands of members and supporters working on its mission to create a better walking environment and inspire more people to walk and wheel as part of everyday life.
