Route One Infrastructure has appointed Darryl Taylor as its new operations director.
Mr Taylor brings a ‘wealth of experience' from both local government and national contracting roles. His early career saw him progress through roles such as estimator, site agent and operations manager. He then moved into the private sector in 2009, where he held operations manager positions with HIS, Ringway/Eurovia and Galliford Try.
Having first joined Route One in 2015 as commercial manager, he subsequently spent just under two years working at Mason Street Furniture as the pre-construction manager, and also worked with Metrail Construction as its commercial manager, before returning to Route One as its commercial manager in 2024.
Following this, he moved into operations as delivery manager and now ‘steps confidently' into the role of operations director.
A Member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), Mr Taylor is ‘already focused' on strengthening both Route One's team and fleet to ‘support long‑term growth'.
