Pre-qualification has started on a £100 million proposal to build a 10-km bypass east of Caernarfon in Gwynedd for the Welsh Assembly.Contractors interested in applying for a place on the shortlist must apply by 10 April quoting reference number 2014/S 053-087645. Tender documents will be issued in the middle of May. A preferred route starting at the Goat Roundabout of the A499 and A487 and then bypassing Llanwnda, Dinas, Bontnewydd, and Caernarfon has been agreed and work could start in 2016.
