A pairing of Alun Griffiths Contractors and Hanson Contracting has beaten off 18 rival bids to retain its place as highway maintenance contractor for Swansea.The four-year deal with Swansea City and County Council is expected to be worth £10m.Under the new deal, the Swansea Highways Partnership joint venture will carry out general civil engineering, highways planned maintenance, improvement and new constructions works.
