NXP, one of the largest suppliers of chips to the automotive industry, is teaming up with electronics company Hitachi to develop vehicle-to-infrastructure solutions.
The companies say their partnership will lead to significant reductions in the time and effort required to develop, test and maintain V2X technologies.
In the initial stages, NXP and Hitachi will target the Japanese automotive market, but are hoping to take their joint offering to Europe and North America.
