Fraser Robinson, one of Uber’s top dealmakers has joined the board of directors at the UK autonomous pod startup Oxbotica.
Oxbotica recently completed a £14 million investment round and plans to use the money to expand globally.
In a statement, Robinson said: “Autonomous vehicles are primed to transform a range of industries including driverless cars, mobility services, airports, ports, mines, farms and space exploration.
“The versatility of Oxbotica’s software means it is perfectly positioned to power this transformation.”
Graeme Smith, CEO of Oxbotica, said: “Fraser has a proven ability to support the scaling that Oxbotica is now embarking on and will help accelerate our exciting trajectory towards mass deployment of fleets of self-driving vehicles.”
