Road markings being upgraded in Hertfordshire
Ringway is undertaking a programme of road marking across 10 districts and boroughs in Hertfordshire.Refreshing over 300km of road markings in total – the equivalent of travelling from Hertfordshire to Yorkshire – the programme started in April and is due to be completed by October.Working on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council, two road marking crews consisting of two operatives are working predominantly at night to minimise disruption to the travelling public, although some work is being undertaken during the day using mobile works.The road markings in need of refreshing have been identified by Ringway inspectors for each area and works are prioritised based on road hierarchy (A, B, C, unclassified roads).Kevin Carrol, Ringway Hertfordshire divisional manager, said: “Refreshing faded road marking is a vital part of what we do in order to maintain and keep Hertfordshire’s busy road network safe.”
