Slough Borough Council has announced that it will soon be seeking applications for a new major and minor works framework that is expected to be valued at up to £60m.
The framework is expected to be comprised of five main lots, with the fourth containing eight sub-lots:
- Lot 1 - Minor Works Construction Project - £500,000 per contract
- Lot 2 - Minor Works Construction Projects - £500,000 to £2m per contract
- Lot 3 - Major Construction Projects - £2m to £10m per contract
- Lot 4 - Reactive maintenance works up to the value of £100,000 per contract
- Lot 4a - Adjustment of iron work
- Lot 4b - Bridge Inspections
- Lot 4c - Carriageway patching works
- Lot 4d - Drainage cleansing & CCTV Management
- Lot 4e - Site Investigations
- Lot 4f -Supply of Traffic Management
- Lot 4g - Road Markings
- Lot 4h - Traffic Sign supply & installation
- Lot 5 - Carriageway Resurfacing Works up to the value of £1m per contract
Slough expects the contracts for this framework to run from 4 May 2026 to 23 April 2030, with a possible extension to 23 April 2031, but notes this may be subject to change.
Enquiries for this framework are due by 20 October of this year, with a tender notice expected to be published by 31 October of this year. Tenders are then due to be submitted by 5 January 2026, although this date may change.
An announcement of the successful tenders is planned for 4 May 2026.
