Firms invited to join race for £200m framework

Birmingham City Council is inviting companies to prequalify for a £200 million highways and civil engineering framework.

The Highways and Infrastructure Works Framework Agreement covers roads in the West Midlands and will run for four years.

Firms are invited to bid for works that will include general highway and junction improvements, traffic signal installations, provision of bus and cycle lanes, public realm and environmental works, utility diversions and connections and liaison with other contractors and developers and highway maintenance.

The prequalification deadline is 23 September with firms invited to register their interest at the city council web portal. A formal invitation to tender will take place on 10 October.
