Piggotts launches highways lighting division

Piggotts, best known for its Christmas lighting services across the UK, is moving into the highways sector.

The company has seen a surge in demand for specialist lighting services and has been approached by a number of clients to service, repair and install street lighting across public and private roads.

This has resulted in a new division being created in the business and the launch of a new website: www.PiggottsElectricalServices.co.uk to support the growing demand for niche electrical services and the management of street lighting.

The team will be expanded with specialist engineers to manage the new contracts alongside the existing seasonal projects.

Lee Harvey, managing director of Piggotts, said, “We already specialise in complex lighting schemes such as ‘Christmas’, so a move towards routine maintenance and call-out work for lamp columns and lit signage is a natural step. This is a rapidly expanding market from privately owned retail estates to city centres.”
