The latest £1bn YORcivil major works framework has rung the changes, with half of the contractors from the last deal dropped.
BAM Nuttall, Esh, Jackson and Octavius make their debut on the new deal, while Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, Tilbury Douglas and a joint venture between Farrans and Tarmac make way.
Esh business development director Ross Markwell said: ‘Securing a place on the YORcivil Major Works framework marks a key milestone in Esh's strategic growth plans. We have a proven capability in delivering complex, capital projects – with over £100m in major schemes currently underway across the northeast – and we are poised to bring our expertise to investment programmes within the Yorkshire region.'
Galliford Try, John Graham, John Sisk and Aureos all retain their places from the last framework.
The new single-lot framework covers civil engineering projects valued over £10m, including highways, bridges, coastal works, flood defences, coastal and major drainage works and replaces a deal that expires in December 2025.
The new agreement, which sits alongside the YORcivil3 framework for smaller projects up to £10m, will be jointly managed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council.
