A £60m engineering and associated services framework is being developed by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) to support the continued maintenance and growth of the Olympic Park in East London.

To provide engineering, technical advisory and specialist survey services across the 560-acre site, the new contract is expected to be split into two lots:

  • Lot 1 - Engineering and associated services – the successful consultant will be required to provide a range of services, including highways engineering and planning advice with a focus on ‘healthy streets', highways technical design review, transport modelling and audits, road safety audits, and low-carbon designs.
  • Lot 2 - Public realm and structures surveys – the supplier will be responsible for providing topographical surveys, underground utility mapping, bridge inspections and building/structures/architectural features condition surveys.

Of the two, Lot 1 has the higher estimated value at £42m compared to £18m for Lot 2.

Whilst the framework does allow for up to 15 suppliers, a maximum of one supplier can be appointed to each lot, with companies only able to apply for one of the two options. The LLDC stated in its notice that Lot 1 is specifically aimed at Engineering consultants, while Lot 2 is aimed at surveyors.

Lasting for eight years, with the contract running from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2034, the company expects to tender the contract on 12 January 2026. Requests to participate in the framework are then due for submission on 30 January 2026, with the successful applicants due to be announced on 24 March 2026.
