Marlborough has been appointed by Castle Point Borough Council to a repairs and resurfacing contract valued at just over £4m.
Initially, the contract will run for three years from 3 August to 2 August 2029, with a possible extension to 2031, bringing the total run time to five years.
The Essex-based authority procured for a ‘reliable and responsive delivery model' and expects Marlborough to carry out resurfacing of footpaths, roads and car parks. This will include the creation of new paths as well as extensions to existing parking areas, road and car park markings.
The contractor will also undertake the maintenance and inspection of associated drainage infrastructure along with CCTV surveys.
While Marlborough has been awarded the contract, the notice states that the earliest time that it will be signed is 23 July.
