National Highways is seeking engagement on a new contract valued at £120m for the provision of advanced traffic management services (ATMS).
Running for an initial five years, the contract is expected to commence on 21 May 2026 and last until 20 May 2032. However, a possible extension provides the opportunity for the contract to last for a total of 10 years.
The current Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) services are currently provided under several contracts, which include all National Highways control rooms and manage the traffic on the 4,500 miles of the strategic road network.
National Highways is hosting a preliminary market engagement day on 24 February in Birmingham, where potential suppliers will be able to meet with the road authority and ‘gather insight' into the expected requirements and procurement process for the contract.
Those wishing to register for the event must do so online by midday on 17 February 2026.
Further details on the event and how to register can be found here.
