Road Maintenance Services (RMS) has been awarded a £4.8m surface dressing contract by Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council.
Running from this August to 2031, the contract allows for a possible extension of three years bringing the total run time to eight years.
The contract award notice stated that the annual quantity will be determined by the state of the roads and the maintenance budget allocated each year, but added that it has historically spent roughly £650,000 a year on surface dressing.
Oldham MBC noted that, while the contract has been awarded to RMS, the earliest point the contract will be signed is 27 July.
