Ealing Council has announced all suppliers appointed to its four-lot highways and transport services framework, with the total value of the contracts coming to roughly £1bn.

The council first announced the successful suppliers for Lots 1, 3 and 4, with the appointment for Lot 2 following in a separate announcement.

Project Centre was the big winner, with a place on all three lots, while Metis Consultants joined Lots 3 and 4.

Lot 3 has the most suppliers appointed, with a total of five, with two working on Lot 4 and just one each for Lots 1 and 2.

Lot 1, which has an estimated value of £39.6m, covers structure inspections across the London borough, making use of the existing inspection schedule and delivering ad hoc services when needed.

Lot 2 deals with road condition monitoring, has an estimated value of £39.6m and includes the annual inspections of the borough's carriageways and footways, intended to provide ratings that use data from 2024 as a baseline.

Valued at £793m, Lot 3 covers general engineering work, including collision studies, improvements to structures, maintenance works, public engagement and advice on construction regulations.

Lot 4 is valued at £158.4m and deals with flood management. It will see the appointed suppliers work in areas including flood risk management strategy, helping the borough with funding bids, preparing flood alleviation feasibility studies, delivering flood risk modelling, and maintaining a register of flood risk assets.

Contracts for Lots 1, 3 and 4 are expected to run for a total of four years from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2030, with the contract for Lot 2 spanning from 29 June 2026 to 31 March 2030.
