Wiltshire Council has opened bids on a £18m specialist highways works framework.
This renewed contract is expected to run as an open framework from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2029, with a possible extension until 30 April 2034, and will be divided into nine lots:
- Lot 1: Road retexturing, estimated value up to £4.8m
- Lot 2: Grouted macadam - asphaltic and cementitious, estimated value up to £4.8m
- Lot 3: In situ recycling to carriageways and footways, estimated value up to £2.88m
- Lot 4: Specialist surface treatments, estimated value up to £1.2m
- Lot 5: Laboratory and site testing of materials, estimated value up to £1.2m
- Lot 6: Minor civil engineering and other works, estimated value up to £1.2m
- Lot 7: Asphalt preservation, including rejuvenators, estimated value up to £900,000
- Lot 8: Crack sealing repairs, estimated value up to £900,000
- Lot 9: Traffic data collection, estimated value up to £120,000
Each lot has an initial run of three years but allows for multiple extensions to bring the total run time to eight years.
Those wishing to take part in the framework can be appointed to a maximum of eight lots, with mini-competitions used ‘as and when works arise' for each lot.
Tenders for this framework must be submitted by 13 April 2026. The council is expected to announce the successful suppliers by 27 April 2026.
