Due to overwhelming interest and demand, the Highways Awards entry deadline has been extended from 1 May to 15 May 2026.

Last year, the Highways Awards reached record levels with more than 900 people at the event on the night. This year, the industry is set to break that record but there are still many submissions 'in basket', yet to be finalised.

The sector now has two extra weeks to perfect its submissions, gather supporting materials, and showcase the brilliant work that's transforming our highways.

Highways magazine editor Dominic Browne said: 'These awards are about saying thank you to this amazing sector and all its outstanding project teams, organisations, companies and collaborations. Nothing works without us because we are the stage the economy performs on. From small to major projects that build communities, to road safety schemes that save lives, to innovations that change the industry, you all deserve this night.

'I know pretty much everyone in this sector sometimes drives the long way round just to look over their work (don't pretend you haven't done this). But you deserve a chance to let the world see it too. You deserve a stage and platform to tell everyone: "I built this." That is what the Highways Awards are all about. I invite you all to get going on finalising your submissions and I will see you all in London on 23 September.'
