ADEPT Live Labs 2 has launched drop-in triage sessions to help local highways authorities effectively adopt low-carbon approaches.
The monthly drop-in sessions, offered for free by ADEPT for all UK local highway authorities, will run online via Microsoft Teams on the second Tuesday of each month, during which authorities can receive guidance on addressing real-world challenges in dealing with carbon reduction, efficiency or wider environmental issues.
With the first session taking place on 12 May, ADEPT plans to use these monthly ‘triage' sessions to provide practical guidance as well as offer insights and tailored signposting to relevant evidence and innovations.
Giles Perkins, programme director for Live Labs 2, said: ‘The first three years have been about testing and validating ideas. Year four is about adoption and scaling. Innovation only matters if it leads to change and the Triage service is about giving local authorities a direct route into the programme and supporting the move towards Business As Usual.
‘The Triage service provides a real opportunity for local highway authorities to capitalise upon the learning and insights from the Live Labs 2 programme and get tailored advice as to how it could help achieve their objectives.'
