The Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) has announced that its Traffic Signs Conference is coming to Birmingham on 24 March 2026, with the support of the Department for Transport (DfT).

Sponsored by Causeway, the conference next year will have the theme ‘Signs of Progress'. 

The conference aims to bring together local authorities, industry experts, contractors and academics to share the latest developments and best practice in highway engineering.

It will feature:

  • Expert speakers from government, local councils, and industry.
  • Case studies and technical sessions highlighting real-world applications of new traffic signing standards and technologies.
  • Panel discussions on the future of traffic management, digital signage, and sustainability in highway engineering.
  • Networking opportunities with key decision-makers, practitioners, and suppliers.
