Northern Ireland's Department for Infrastructure announced three different road schemes earlier this week with a total value just shy of £2m.
The largest of the three projects will see £868,000 put towards resurfacing a 2.44km section of the A2 Belfast Road starting at Tongue Loanen junction and ending just beyond Raw Brae Road.
Work is expected to be completed by 30 October, with the road closed to traffic between 09:30 and 18:00 on weekdays.
Killead can also expect to see a £816,000 road improvement scheme carried out on Ballyrobin Road. A 2km section of carriageway from the A26 Killead Roundabout to the A57 Airport Roundabout will be resurfaced, with both lane and road closures to be implemented to enable the works to be carried out safely.
Finally, the B160 Tonderagee Road in Pomeroy is set to see resurfacing works valued at £308,000 for 1.5km from Slate Quarry Road to Thornhill Road. Work is set to start on 2 October and is due to be completed by 31 October.
Infrastructure minister Liz Kimmins said that each of the three projects are expected to deliver ‘significant benefits for residents and road users'.
