The National Winter Service Research Group (NWSRG) has appointed a new chair and vice chair of its Technical Advisory Group (TAG) following the recent election.
For the next three years, Paddy Hastie, director of sales and marketing for Peacock Salt, will serve as the new TAG chair, with Vaisala's UK managing director, Rachel Adams, alongside him as new vice-chair.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Hastie said: ‘I'm very grateful to be chosen to work alongside Rachel to represent the TAG, especially given the very talented folk that make up the group. We've seen a huge increase in awareness of the NWSRG best practice guidance over the last few years and I feel the TAG team have played a massive part. We do a great job of pulling together for the winter safety cause and I'm looking forward to keeping that going after Mark and John have done such a great job over the last few years.'
The pair will take on their new positions as the former joint-chairs, Mark Dutton (director of Safecote) and John Meehan (managing director of Brine Solutions), come to the end of their tenure.
Announcing the election results, Mr Dutton and Mr Meehan said: ‘We would like to thank you all for the support you have given us over the last three years and wish Paddy and Rachel well as they continue to strengthen the TAG as a group.'
