Balfour Beatty has appointed Emma Loxton as its chief strategy officer.
Ms Loxton joins the company from McKinsey & Company, where she spent over a decade as a partner advising major industrial and infrastructure businesses on strategy, transformation and growth. She has also previously held the role of senior policy advisor in the UK Government's Prime Minister's Strategy Unit.
Reporting to Philip Hoare, group chief executive, Ms Loxton will lead Balfour Beatty's strategy function from next month, with a focus on the next phase of growth in the UK, US and Asia, and priority markets of UK transport and energy, UK defence and US buildings.
Mr Hoare said: ‘Emma is a proven strategy and transformation leader with a strong track record of helping complex organisations sharpen performance, strengthen competitiveness and deliver lasting change.
