The Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) has launched a suite of CPD-accredited on-demand training courses, offering a flexible way to 'browse, buy and begin learning instantly from home or the office, without waiting for scheduled sessions'.
Modules can be paused, replayed and revisited, making them useful for those balancing project deadlines, site work and professional commitments.
Writing in IHE's exclusive column for Highways every month, chief executive Lyle Andrew said: 'Professional development is essential in a sector that never stands still and practitioners need training that is practical, accessible and relevant to the challenges they face every day.
'One of the strongest advantages of the on-demand format is immediacy. Once a module is purchased online, learners can start straight away, without waiting for a scheduled webinar or classroom date.
'The sessions are expert-led, allowing participants to gain insights from industry professionals while learning at a pace that suits their own workload.'
Each module is IHE CPD-accredited, and selected modules are available instantly, with no waiting period. After completing the learning, participants receive their CPD certificate.
The first series of on-demand courses is from the very popular highway law training, which is also still offered in-person.
