Highway Assurance Ltd, the specialist traffic management and civil engineering contractor, has made a trio of recent appointments to director level.

Nick Zarkos has started a new position as director of low speed traffic management, while Laura Bloom has become finance and HR director. John Charles Howlett has also taken on a director-level role.

The company's latest accounts statement, made up to August 2024 but released this month, noted an increase in turnover to £23.4m for the financial year.

The document states: 'We have invested time looking at our processes, and forecast increased investment in both our assets and staff over the coming year, to meet the long-term goals of the company.'

It also notes that Highway Assurance has established a depot in Essex, 'which will enable us to expand our services in this area and beyond, while helping us to manage our margins effectively'.

'We support our clients by offering an economic, flexible, resilient, and sustainable service. Our ability to offer both traffic management and civil engineering gives our clients a tailored approach with a bespoke solution, helping them to overcome challenges while understanding local priorities. This end-to-end service is aimed at making the whole process as seamless for our clients as possible,' the company said.
