The transport app Citymapper has added dockless bicycles and scooters to its app.
“Our mission has always been to build the ultimate transport app, integrating all the different ways you can move around your city,” the company says.
It’s now added floating cycles – bikes which do not need docking stations.
The idea is to add another way people can travel from A to B most efficiently, with such transport possibly being the best way to complete the first and last mile of the journey.
Citymapper has incorporated a way to unlock them through the app, ride to where you need to go and park them at the other end.
