Members of the public are being invited to an open workshop in Coventry to discuss their attitudes towards driverless vehicles.The organisers, Warwick University's Experimental Engineering Group, are asking participants to imagine a future where cars drive themselves and whether they would benefit society and improve social mobilityThe event takes place on on the 30th June at Coventry Transport Museum. During the free to attend public workshop, researchers from the Experiential Engineering group will explore attitudes towards self-driving cars and the public's thoughts on the future of motoring. The afternoon workshop is designed to be hands-on with lots of activities and opportunities for discussion on the agenda."We want to know what effect you think self-driving vehicles will have on our society and importantly what would affect your trust in this new technology?" the invitation says.  "Would vehicle brand influence how you feel, or whether you would trust the security of the new technology?"The event will be run jointly with Coventry University and Transport for West Midlands.
