Thirteen contractors are in line for construction, repair and maintenance work on the City of Edinburgh's road network under a framework valued at up to £46m.
The City of Edinburgh Council has announced the results of a procurement exercise for its Transport and Infrastructure Framework, which is divided into eight lots. Some contractors are on more than one lot. According to the contract notice, none are small or medium-sized enterprizes.
Lot 1 covers carriageway, footway and cycleway construction and redesign and is valued at £5,760,000. The contractors on the framework are Tarmac, Mackenzie Construction, MacLay Civil Engineering, Robertson Civil Engineering, and T and N Gilmartin.
Lot 2 covers major carriageway and footway maintenance schemes greater than approximately £150,000 and is valued at £7,680,000. The contractors on the framework are Crummock (Scotland), Tarmac, Mackenzie Construction, MacLay Civil Engineering, and Aggregate Industries.
Lot 3 covers major carriageway and footway maintenance schemes up to approximately £150,000 and is valued at £8,200,000. The contractors on the framework are Crummock (Scotland), Luddon Construction, Tarmac, Mackenzie Construction, MacLay Civil Engineering, and Aggregate Industries.
Lot 4 covers surface treatments and is valued at £1,440,000. The contractors on the framework are Kiely, and Colas.
Lot 5 covers carriageway and footway patching, resurfacing and associated work and is valued at £4,800,000. The contractors on the framework are Crummock (Scotland), Luddon Construction, Tarmac, MacLay Civil Engineering, T and N Gilmartin, and Lightways.
Lot 6 covers the provision of a daily squad for the installation and removal of road markings valued at £1,440,000. The contractors on the framework are Crummock (Scotland) and Markon Limited
Lot 7 covers street lighting installation works and is valued at £3,360,000. The contractors on the framework are Tarmac, T and N Gilmartin, and Lightways.
Lot 8 covers the maintenance of surface water drainage systems and associated works and is valued at £240,000. The contractors on the framework are: Luddon Construction, Lanes Group, and DAMM Environmental.
