Traffex roars back to the future with hybrid format

12/01/2021 |

Traffex Parkex returns this year as a full hybrid exhibition, backed by a COVID peace of mind guarantee.

Despite the current UK lockdown, the huge task of the vaccine roll-out is already gaining pace, providing confidence that the country will soon start to recover from the pandemic.

The Traffex Parkex team remain confident that the 2021 in-person event will take place at the NEC, Birmingham from 15-17 June to the same high level that visitors and exhibitors have come to expect over the last 35 years.

However, running alongside it will be a brand new, fully bespoke digital platform, providing many additional benefits to all, such as the ability to tap into a much increased audience, having no geographical boundaries for anyone looking to visit, and being available on-demand, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Selected speakers will be live-streamed, along with live interviews with exhibitors and visitors. All of the show sessions will be available on-demand, extending the attraction for visitors beyond the in-person event.

For exhibitors, included in the in-person stand price will be a 'virtual booth' within the new digital platform. The virtual booth will give exhibitors an opportunity to upload a detailed company profile and engage with their audience through video, photos, brochure downloads etc.

They will also be able to run unique competitions, polls or data capture initiatives, or even engage directly with visitors through a meeting booking system and live chat function.

Craig Donovan, event director, said: ‘Since Traffex was first held in the 1980s, there has never been a more critical time to bring the sector together. So many of the sector’s regular events and networking opportunities have been postponed or cancelled. Our strong adherence to the All Secure Standard, outlining new social distancing guidance for live events, approved by the UK government will ensure the in-person event is run safely and securely for everyone.

‘The Covid crisis has forced us to rethink how we meet the needs of suppliers who want to promote their business strategy, innovative solutions, new products and their years of industry experience to customers in a digital way.

‘Rather than looking at a virtual option simply as a back up to the in-person event, we discovered many unique additional benefits which virtual events can offer. We are still embracing the full benefits of the in-person event, but are also excited about introducing the virtual element into the mix.’

Mr Donovan added: ‘Although it is unlikely that we will not be able to hold the in-person event in June 2021, we want to demonstrate our commitment to all exhibitors with our COVID peace of mind guarantee, which protects you if the unexpected does happen.’

Potential exhibitors can find out more about the guarantee, latest developments and the ‘all secure standard’ guidlance directly from the Traffex Parkex team.
