Transport Scotland has appointed seven suppliers to an Asset Management Technical Services Framework valued at £12.6m.
As well as foundational elements of asset management such as lifecycle planning and updates to policy, strategy and planning, the framework also has a strong data analysis element, including supporting improvements in how the Scottish road authority manages and analyses ‘Scottish Trunk Road asset data'.
The contract is split into the following four lots:
- Lot 1: Asset Management Improvement Programme (AMIP) - £2.4m
- Lot 2: Asset Management Performance System (AMPS) Development and Maintenance - £4m
- Lot 3: Geotechnical Certification Services - £3m
- Lot 4: Asset Management Technical Advice - £3.2m
WSP UK was appointed to Lots 1, 3 and 4, with Mott MacDonald and AtkinsRéalis UK both being appointed to Lots 1 and 2.
Arcadis was also appointed to Lot 2, with Amey joining WSP on Lot 3 and Jacobs UK and Ramboll UK taking the final two spots on Lot 4.
Lot 2 has a particular focus on asset data management, with the suppliers required to provide access to data scientists that can ‘continually develop and improve' Transport Scotland's AMPS data analytical capabilities.
