The director of external affairs for Cycling UK has announced that she will be stepping down from her role in April of this year.
Having spent three years with the cycling charity as part of its leadership team, Sarah McMonagle announced on LinkedIn that she has decided to spend more time with her partner and their new baby.
Ms McMonagle said: ‘This wasn't an easy decision - it's been a total privilege being director of external affairs at Cycling UK.
'My SLT team is fantastic, as is the wider leadership team and external affairs directorate. Cycling UK is led and powered by a bunch of very talented people, who really buy into the vision, and it's destined for great things.'
She added that, while she is currently taking a ‘career break' as her partner returns to work, ‘ideally I'll be back in the world of work later this year'.
