A team from Highways Magazine has raised more than £6,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK after completing the Three Peaks Challenge.The team comprised of Neil Levett, publisher; Adele Humphries, design and communications manager; Paul Thornhill, sales manager for PanStadia & Arena Management; Mike Cramp, UK sales manager for Offshore Engineer; and John Davies from Glamorgan White Lining.Over three days the team faced the challenge of climbing up the three highest points in the UK – Ben Nevis in Scotland (4,409ft); Scaffel Pike in England (3,209ft) and Mount Snowdon in Wales (3,560ft).Generous sponsorship for the challenge was provided by Instarmac, Preformed Markings, JSP, Highway Care, Imtech, Rennicks/MTS, SW1 Advertising, Acklea, TMP, Signpost Solutions and Route Signs, who also kindly produced the banners.A team from the Road Safety Markings Association (RSMA) also completed the Three Peaks Challenge.The association’s team was made up of the following people: George Lee (national director RSMA); Scott Yuill (director at Markon/vice chairman RSMA); Garry Duncan and Andy Stubbs (WJ Linkline Group); James Hodge Brooks (JHB Roadmarkings); Nick and Darren Riggott (Riggott and Co); Mike Attwood; Julian Zaremba (Belstan Ltd).
