Hull City Council has appointed 30 suppliers to its engineering and regeneration professional services framework, with an estimated value of the services included reaching roughly £80.5m for the full length of the contract.
Spanning seven years, the contract is expected to start on 2 March 2026 and end by 1 March 2033, and has been divided into 12 lots:
- Lot 1a - Bridges and Structures Planned Programme Delivery
- Lot 1b - Bridges and Structures General Professional Services
- Lot 1c - Complex Bridges
- Lot 2 – Highways and Civil Engineering
- Lot 3a – Building Construction
- Lot 3b - Housing Strategy and Appraisal Services
- Lot 4a - Economic and Financial Modelling
- Lot 4b - Valuation and Benchmarking Works
- Lot 5 – Quantitative and Qualitative Project Output Analysis
- Lot 6 – Heritage and Conservation
- Lot 7 – Multi-disciplinary Team and Project Delivery (Bridges, Highways and Civil Engineering and Building Construction)
- Lot 8 - Decarbonisation of Council Buildings and Land - Site assessment and Feasibility.
Whilst some of the 30 companies participating in the framework were only appointed to one lot, many have been assigned to multiple lots. Some of the companies appointed to the highest number of lots include AtkinsRéalis UK, which has contracts for Lots 1a, 1b, 1c, and 7, WSP UK, which is appointed to Lots 1a, 1b, 1c and 2, Ove Arup & Partners, which won spots on Lots 4a, 6 and 8 and GGP Consult, a Hull-based engineering consultant company that has contracts for Lots 3a, 3b and 7.
