Cheshire West and Chester Council has confirmed it will be the first authority to trial a new 'cost-free' permitting and roadworks data system from Triopsis.
The OneView 2.0 platform gives councils and contractors 'instant, cost-free access to permit data, roadworks information and traffic management plans through a simple, intuitive interface'.
As a highways AI scheduling software specialist, Triopsis created OneView 2.0 to complement its core business of optimising roadworks operations — 'while ensuring public data remains truly public'.
Cheshire West and Chester Council said it would integrate the platform into its public-facing website this month.
Rose McArthur, director of transport and highways for Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: ‘As a forward-thinking and innovative highways authority, we are thrilled to be working with Triopsis as an early adopter of their AI scheduling software.
'We know that Triopsis has worked hard to create OneView Version 2 to complement its core business of optimising roadworks operations. We are committed to ensuring this public data remains truly public for the benefit of all those travelling in and around Cheshire West.’
Andy Hutt, CEO of Triopsis, said: ‘OneView delivers the power of data-driven decision making to local authorities at no cost. By removing financial barriers and opening up essential highways information, we’re enabling councils to redirect resources away from software licences and back into road maintenance where it’s needed most.’
Triopsis will showcase OneView at a Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) webinar on Tuesday 23 September, followed by live demonstrations at Strictly Highways annual conference on 30 September.
The company also has an AI scheduling software solution to compliment the roadworks and street works data platform.
Correction: An earlier version of this article suggested the AI scheduling system was of free of charge not the road works data platform.
