National Highways is now accepting tenders for its near £10bn Maintenance and Response 2 framework.
Starting on 6 January 2028, the framework is expected to last for just over nine years until 1 July 2037 and will be split into seven regional lots:
- Lot 1: South West – estimated value of £805m
- Lot 2: South East – estimated value of £1.31bn
- Lot 3: East – estimated value of £1.17bn
- Lot 4: Midlands – West – estimated value of £959m
- Lot 5: Midlands – East – estimated value of £871m
- Lot 6: North West – estimated value of £1.14bn
- Lot 7: Yorkshire & North East – estimated value of £1.082bn
As Highways previously reported, the total value of the lots is £7.34bn, leaving just over £2bn to account for ‘inflation and a level of contingency'.
Those wishing to submit a tender have until 12 October to submit an enquiry, with requests to participate due by 26 October.
National Highways plans to announce the successful suppliers by 26 November 2027.
