AGD, Edmundson Electrical, NAL and Yunex have won places on a £28m traffic signals and associated product supply framework for Newcastle-upon-Tyne City Council.

The framework has 13 lots covering the supply of extra low voltage (ELV) traffic signal controllers and signal heads, sockets, cabling, urban traffic management and control compatible routers among other elements.

‘We're proud to strengthen our partnership with local authorities in the North East,' says Kieran Corbally, senior commercial manager at AGD, which won places on Lot 3 for ELV pedestrian equipment and Lot 6 for above ground detection.

‘[This award] demonstrates confidence in AGD's technology and our continued ability to deliver reliable, high-performance systems that help improve safety and traffic efficiency for all road users.'

The framework runs for two years with the option of two additional 12-month extensions.
