James Davies is set to join Skanska as divisional director, leaving the position of operations leader at Laing O’Rourke after nearly three years.
Having first worked for Laing O’Rourke as a project leader from 2005 until 2014, Mr Davies returned in 2022 to a new position after spending nearly nine years in director and leadership roles at ISG, Grupo OHL and Construction Santé Montréal.

'The company’s culture, international reach, and the variety of projects currently underway is exciting, and I’m eager to get started. I also look forward to building strong relationships with our supply chain and customers, working closely with teams across the UK business to create new opportunities for growth.’
Terry Muckian, executive vice president at Skanska UK, added: ‘James brings a wealth of experience and strategic vision that aligns perfectly with our ambitions.
'His proactive approach, customer focus and deep sector knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to solidify Skanska’s leadership position in these dynamic markets. We are pleased to welcome James to our team and look forward to seeing his impact on our strategy.’
