The technology and network services business telent has retained a contract to maintain traffic signals in the borough of Sandwell.
The agreement, worth up to £2m, covers the maintenance of 109 traffic signal junctions 174 pedestrian crossings and eight journey time monitoring cameras.
telent says the contract will offer continuous benefits to the residents of Sandwell, including the creation of employment opportunities and the sourcing of suppliers from the local community.
