Gaist has been awarded a £12m road asset management system contract by Blackpool Council.
The council expects that the work would consist of two parts: data collection and deterioration and lifecycle modelling.
The council said it wants Gaist to be able to model the impact of any given investment/maintenance regime.
When approached by Highways for comment, the council confirmed that the contract will run from 1 July 2025 to the 30 June 2029. There will not be any option for renewal.
